EasyScreenOCR for LifeTime Version Released and Some Big Changes

Hi, all the users of EasyScreenOCR, I still remember the first time I release EasyScreenOCR 1.0 on 27.01.2018. Now, it has been almost half and one year. Hundreds and thousands of users use my program and give me so many important suggestions. I appreciate it so much and I do believe more people will use ESO as my program boost their productivity and make their work much easier. In the past, I spent days and nights to create this little program and make it stable and I will do the same in the future.

Now, I am so proud that EasyScreenOCR for Lifetime will be released and I make some big changes in this version. I will explain why I do these changes in detail.

Changes:

#1. EasyScreenOCR for Win could be used for a lifetime and only $15.

#2. No recurring payment for EasyScreenOCR Lifetime version. One payment for lifetime use. No monthly or annual support fees.

#3. 2Checkout.com shop platform and technology integrated so you can purchase EasyScreenOCR for Lifetime version via PayPal and Credit Card safely.

#4.  The monthly subscription plan is deprecated.

#5. You need to use your own Google API JSON file when using OCR Mode 1(Powered by Google).  Click to learn how to create your own Google API JSON credential – Super Easy and free!. Alternatively, you can still use our OCR Mode 2 engine if you have no Google Cloud account for temporary.

Why I make such changes for EasyScreenOCR Lifetime Version

Hmm, I need to explain that I make such changes because of some important reasons.

#1. Some users highly recommend using lifetime version. Users hate recurring payment and I hate it either. So I add a choice for Lifetime so users can only pay for once.

#2. The current payment system(woo-commerce) only supports PayPay, so I use 2checkout that users can pay via Credit Card when they have no PayPal account.

#3. The last but no the least: I can not afford the Google API on my own. Google charges $1.5 for 1000 OCR requests, which means if you are monthly subscriber, you can request 6000 times per month and 200 times per day. But some monthly subscribers use ESO for more than 1000 times per day which I didn’t expect before. I do not want to close ESO so I have to deprecate the monthly subscription plan.

How to use and activate EasyScreenOCR Lifetime version

It is quite simple to activate EasyScreenOCR for Lifetime and use your own Google API. Please follow my next steps.

Step 1: Download and install our latest EasyScreenOCR.

Step 2: Run ESO and right-click on the icon and go to “Activate”.

Step 3: Enter the License key and select “LifeTime” as the subscription type. Then click “Activate” button.

Step 4: Right-click on the icon again and you will see a new button “MyGoogleAPI”, click to promote a window.

Step 5: Load your own Google API JSON file and then, you can use Google API Engine without issues. Click here to learn how to create your own Google API JSON credential.

Please note: You need to keep your JSON file safe. Our program will never upload and store your file. You can monitor the usages in Google dashboard, remove or disable the API according to your requirement.
