How to Load Google API in EasyScreenOCR for Mac LifeTime Version
Hi, Dear ESO users, on 23/8/2019, we have released the EasyScreenOCR LifeTime version(for Windows). Since that, we have won the trust of thousands of users. These users prefer to loading their own Google credential file and process screenshot OCR and translation. Now, we have released the Lifetime version for Mac users. You can download the latest ESO for Mac 1.4.0 and learn how to load Google API in this Mac application in this post.
Before using ESO for Mac LifeTime version, you should note:
#1 You need to create your own Google Cloud account. You can use a Gmail account or any other Google account.
#2 When using Google Cloud, Google requires you to provide Credit Card information. If you do not want to do this, you can choose to subscribe to our Half-Yearly Plan or Yearly Plan alternatively.
#3 Google will provide you with a free $300 for 12 months. This means you can apply OCR requests for 212,000 times for totally free!
#4 There is some difference from the Windows version when loading the Google API. For Windows version, you load a Json file. But for Mac version, you copy and paste the API string.
Create Google Cloud Project and OCR API
#1. Create a project and enter a project name.
#2. Go to the APIs&Services dashboard to enable the OCR API and service.
#3. Create the Google API key and get the string.
Copy the Google OCR API Key and Load it in APP
#1. Now, Run EasyScreenOCR for Mac on your MAC. Go to Preferences and GoogleAPI tab.
#2. Copy the API key string and paste it in EasyScreenOCR for Mac
#3. Then, you can process screenshot OCR and translation.
Delete the API key.
If you think the API is distributed without your permission or used by others, you can delete the API key immediately.
